It's one thing to be one of three, it's another thing entirely when you are the only boy and the middle child and the Addisons' had no idea what they were getting into when Brendhan was born. Since the day he could walk Brendhan has wanted nothing more than to be as cool as he thought his big sister, Bea was. she came home he tried to imitate her, he would feign interest in what she was interested in, laugh at what she laughed at even if at the time he had no idea what was even going on, all he knew was that she was his big sister and he wanted to be like her and he wanted to be liked by her.

Of course this was only a brief phase until his little sister arrived and suddenly Brendhan wanted to be his own person seperate from his sisters. By the time Junior high came around he was pretending he was an only child, all attention seemed to be focused on the older and younger one anyway, so he just went through time barely on the radar of his parents. He was always a social kid who could be friends with anyone, he never even had another kid look at him funny. By the start of high school, Brendhan was that rare smart kid that seemed to be friends with everyone from the jocks, to the nerds, to the outcasts. It's not as if he felt he fit in with any group but that he never treated any group as if they were anything aside from his peers. He was never particuraly athetlic nor was he one of the smartest kids in class, he did draw a fake tattoo on his arm to be cool to the outcasts for a day, but it was gone by the nightly shower. Brendhan just always felt that those around him constantly needed to be reminded that high school is not the real world and no one cares what clique you fall in.

When not focusing his attention on being a social butterfly, Brendhan has always had an addiction to movies and for the longest time, he thought that was where his future would fall, in film. By his senior year, however everything had shifted. He noticed a classmate had been coming into school late, dirty, sometimes even with fresh brusing, finally Brendhan worked up the courage to pull the girl aside and ask her what was going on. She broke down in his arms when she confessed she was being abused at home. After some coaxing from Brendhan, she eventually went to talk to a teacher who took her to talk to the police and got her out of her horrible living situation. Knowing that he had helped the girl escape a dangerous situation awoke something inside of Brendhan he didn't realize was buried and he decided this was going to be his future. After high school he had decided to go to NYU and work towards a degree in social work and find a future in the field.

Brendhan has just completed his Junior year at NYU and unlike many of his peers, has not once changed his mind about his field of study. While he has been told on many occassions the emotional strain that field can have on a person, he has constantly reminded himself that what he wants to do is better the world and help those who are in situations where they can not help themselves and at the end of the day, that is what is most imprtant to him, helping others. In the meantime he is currently working part time at a local coffee shop, serving up coffee to the masses where he also considers caffinating others a public service.
